and graduate at the top of his class


and start his campaign

tellin the people that hes got the fix

hes just like them one of the commen men

with a suit and a tie and a catchy slogan

and he lies through his teeth and he loses his soul

hed sell his whole family if it would get him a vote

and then come november hes declared the winner

and he cracks some jokes at the correspondence dinner

and 4 years go by no hope no change

the debt just gets higher and the people are blamed

and the politicians laugh and smoke their cigars

and my friends are shipped off to die in their wars

and the politicians fill their pockets

and the corporations reap the profits

Well lately Ive been thinkin
